JP Ratajczak

Competitive Intelligence Senior Consultant, Nationwide

JP Ratajczak has been a longtime, active member of the competitive intelligence community, having served in leadership roles continuously since 2000 with organizations like SLA and SCIP.  He has delivered dozens of intelligence sessions as an international speaker for intelligence organizations and associations, most frequently on the topics of AI and technology as it relates to intelligence.

Most recently joining Nationwide to build, implement, and lead a CI competency in its $16 billion Retirement Plans business, JP has also held intelligence roles in both the public sector and in academia.  Previously, JP was Director of Intelligence Systems at Aurora WDC and before that was part of Deloitte’s HUMINT and CEO Communications teams.

Throughout his career, JP has been recognized for giving back to both the professional and local communities: he has been awarded the SLA Competitive Intelligence Community’s Profound Impact Leader Award, the Columbus Crew’s Community MVP award, and the Columbus Cancer Clinic’s Philanthropic Spirit Award.  JP has helped sponsor over 75 internship-equivalent intelligence positions for university students.  He also founded and organized the Crawl for Cancer in Columbus, a charity fundraiser meets pub crawl, that under his leadership donated over $261,000 to cancer related charities and over 19,400 pounds of food to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

He was a contributing author to SCIP’s Conference and Tradeshow Intelligence book and earned a B.A. in Research/Intelligence Analysis and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Mercyhurst University.
